2) different,形容词，不同的。
be different from... 与......不同

副词形式：differently 名词形式：difference
3. The number of candles is the person's age.
1）the number of... “...的数目”，后跟可数名词复数，
作主语时谓语动词用单数。Eg:
我们班的学生人数是70。
The number of the students in our class is 70.
a number of... “许多的，大量的”，后跟可数名词
复数，作主语时，谓语动词用复数。Eg:
许多学生在打篮球
